I notice that Big Sur seems to have 'dumbed down' the web cam controls in Facetime and Photobooth - so now there is no way to select the camera. Unreal lack of any support.ĭoes anyone know of a Mac software running Big Sur that allows an easy plug and play software - so I can just plug in this currently useless webcam and have it working for a full screen use to record the screen? Seems like a failure of Big Sur to make this webcam so hard to connect to and use, when it's supposed to be a no-brainer plug & play. but I had already bought a new mouse by then. When I changed one of the cards to capture HDMI instead of SDI, and I was able to get one of the cameras to show up. But then more than a YEAR after I posted, a Logitech tech person wrote back. Blackmagic Desktop Video Setup is getting input from the cameras, but OBS isnt. and got no answer after months of waiting. I once asked a question on the Logitech Mouse software. If I install the newest desktop software (V11.5.1) the capture card is not detected by the BMD setup program but Black Magic Device is listed as a source in OBS. Video Capture device doesnt as mentioned multiple times on this forum. But I have zero interest in using either Factime or Photobooth - but when I downloaded to install the Logitech 'Logi Capture' software - it refuses to recognize the camera - regardless of it's its plugged into a peripheral or directly into the back of my 2018 Mac Mini. But when I try to add it as a source in OBS 25.0.8 Black Magic Device isnt listed as a source to select. With a lot of fiddling with Facetime and Photobooth, I can sometimes get one of them to halfway work. Logitech 920 scarcely Recognized After Big Sur Update I have this same problem - where the Logitech c920 webcam will be almost impossible to activate. Does every Software on Mac OS have its own camera drivers? Within Zoom, Skype and FaceTime the camera is not recognised ("No camera connected"). The camera is detected by the BlackMagic software, I can record video, it works with google duo, with microsoft teams, with quicktime, but not with Skype, FaceTime nor Zoom. Just this: Till now I have spend more than 200,- $ only on cables.įinally I got the setup to work - almost. I won't get into details about getting it to work with Mac OS - it's a pain in the. As there is actually no way get a webcam I bought an hdmi video capture device (BlackMagic UltraStudio Mini Recorder). There are lots of "real" Cameras (DSLR, Mirrorless.) within my household I tried to hook one up via USB. I bought Intensity Pro and setup it, but Desktop Video Setup says 'No Desktop Video Device Detected'. As I had to setup two more worksstations for my kids due to the corona crisis I needed another webcam for my Mac Mini. What happend to Macs that just simply worked? Sorry, now for the facts: First things first: I am not frustrated, I am really ******! Pardon my french.
